North West
L’Île Rousse
With fishing trips, watersports, fine sand and clear water, the main beaches at L’Île Rousse are conveniently situated adjacent to the centre of the town and, with a number of restaurants on the beaches, make it very popular amongst tourists.
Lozari
A beautiful, large and steeply shelved beach which is often less crowded than its more popular neighbours. It also offers a range of watersports including jet ski hire.
Calvi
Home to one of the more popular beaches on the island, Calvi is a fantastic location for children. The gently sloping beach provides peace of mind for parents travelling with little ones and the large selection of restaurants fringing the sands and many watersports providers makes it easy to spend an entire day on the sand.
Algajola
A vast sweep of sand leading east from the village centre, the orientation offers some of the best surfing available on the island.
Saleccia & Lodo
Voted the number 1 secret beach in Europe by SkyScanners, Saleccia can only be reached by boat or a 15km walk, hence the fact it is seldom busy. Lodo, a little further east is a smaller version of the same – fine, golden sand with a backdrop of the Corsican maquis.
Perajola (Ostriconi)
Consistently one of the quieter beaches due to its rather difficult access down a steep pathway and then the need to wade through the Ostriconi river, this beach has fine, white sand and faces south west thus benefitting from the cooling prevailing wind.
South East
Pinarellu
Situated 7km north of Porto Vecchio with a beautiful view of the Genoese tower and framed by a pine forest and featured by Time Out magazine.
Rondinara
An almost perfect circle of golden sand encompassing a lagoon of shallow, turquoise water.
Palombaggia
Arguably one the best beach on the island.
Santa Giulia
A beautiful white sand beach in a secluded bay, popular with watersports enthusiasts and can get busy during the peak months.
Piantarella
Sparkling white sand with azure water with a backdrop of white chalk outcrops make this a very popular beach, especially being so close to Bonifacio.
